About the project

Chapter by Chapter, Explored

The Tanya is often regarded as a masterpiece of Kabbalistic wisdom, but it was written to be a practical guide for the struggling soul.

“My goal is to take that profound wisdom off the shelf and place it into your hands.”

This guide aligns chapter-by-chapter with the Baal HaTanya’s original work, decoding complex concepts into actionable insights. It transforms the mastery of the mind and the awakening of the heart in the service of G-d from a lofty ideal into an accessible, daily reality.

About the author

Rabbi Naftali Shaulson

Rabbi Naftali Shaulson lives in Monsey, New York, with his family. Raised with strong Chabad values and a devoted chassid of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, he studied at the Karlin-Stolin yeshiva in Boro Park and later at the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem. He has spent many years since then learning full-time in kollel.

The Tanya always fascinated him, and he wanted to understand it better. He found the best way to learn something is to teach it, so he wrote Tanya For The Everyman, a clear, easy guide to the Tanya for readers, totally understandable for even readers with no prior background in any Jewish texts. It’s the first of several books he plans on the Tanya and other Jewish classics.
